Struggling to handle your child’s emotions? Form a single line.
The Peaceful Place method gives parents a loving and firm way to cope with tantrums and meltdowns.
What makes us different?
There’s a better way to help kids regulate emotions, and it starts with time in.
Using a ‘time-in’ instead of timeout means you can confidently deal with tantrums, successfully comfort your child, and create peace in the home.
(yes, it’s possible).

NO MORE TIME OUTS!
(here’s how our ‘time-ins’ work)
1. Create a Peaceful Place
Set up an inviting space in your home with the Peaceful Poster Set.
Place them at your child’s eye level, and decorate the area with soft toys, cushions or your child’s art to make it welcoming.
2. Label Emotions
Go to the Peaceful Place when your child’s unregulated, anxious, needing connection, a reset after school, or when they’re faced with a new experience.
Use the My Feelings poster to identify the zone of regulation, then point to, label and (if able) discuss the feeling.
3. Self-select a comfort strategy
In the peaceful place, your child can self-select an activity from the My Calming Strategies poster to bring them calm and comfort.
Activities include hugs, puzzles, music, snacks, going outside and more.
Emotionally intelligent children? I’ll take two (or 3, or 4…)
We can’t protect our children from everything in life, but we can teach them to identify and manage their emotions in a healthy way.
And for us at Little People, Big Emotions? That starts young.
Your story’s next.
Our posters give you a simple, game changing strategy…and yes, it involves colour coding.
(A-types get excited.)
Our four zones of regulation teach your kids to recognise what high and low energy emotions feel like in the body.
From there? They choose a specific feeling and aligned calming strategy from our poster duo.
